Buying Your First Home in Queen Anne’s County? We May Be Able to Help!

Buying Your First Home in Queen Anne’s County? We May Be Able to Help!

Did you know Queen Anne’s County offers first-time homebuyer loan programs that provide up to $50,000 in assistance to eligible buyers?

These programs offer a 0% interest, deferred-payment second mortgage loan, meaning no monthly payments are required on the assistance loan while program conditions are met.

Two county programs are available:

  • Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) Program: Available to eligible first-time homebuyers who meet income and other program requirements.

  • Critical Workforce (CWF) Program: Designed for eligible local law enforcement officers, correctional officers, firefighters, EMS personnel and Queen Anne’s County public school teachers.

The State of Maryland also offers a separate homebuyer assistance program for eligible first responders and teachers.

These are loans, not grants, and the programs cannot be combined. Income limits and additional eligibility requirements apply.
